What a complete valuable-articles schedule shows

One record for every item

Rings, watches, earrings, loose stones and other pieces keep their own value, description and documentation instead of sharing one household total.

Recent proof of value

A receipt or appraisal gives the underwriter a defensible value. Higher-value or referred schedules may need updated documentation before issue.

How the collection is protected

Alarm, safe, vault and gated-access details help distinguish jewelry worn every day from pieces kept in protected storage.

Use at home and while traveling

Who wears each item, how often it travels and prior losses help the broker confirm worldwide and scheduled-articles options.

How it works

  1. 10 minute form

A few questions about your business or home.

  2. We shop the market

We compare carriers and read the forms line by line.

  3. Quote and bind

We pick the best policy and get you covered.

Each valuable item needs its own record

A jewelry box is likely to be full of memories and an incomplete list of items. A household total cannot describe a ring, watch or loose stone. The form keeps the item type, value, wearer and appraisal date together so the broker can review the schedule without guessing.

Values are entered item by item

Each scheduled piece carries its own value and identifying details instead of disappearing inside a household contents limit.

Security questions follow the household

Alarm protection, safe deposit use, gated access and prior loss history help the market understand how the jewelry is stored and worn.

The appraisal date stays visible

The purchase or latest appraisal date gives the broker a clear point to confirm whether updated documentation may be needed.

Valuable articles this intake can schedule

  • Rings and earrings
  • Bracelets, necklaces and pendants
  • Watches and chains
  • Loose stones and brooches
  • Multiple jewelry items on one household intake

What changes your premium

There is no flat rate for this coverage. These are the inputs a carrier prices against, and they are the same things the quote form asks you for.

  • Item type and scheduled value
  • Purchase or latest appraisal date
  • Who wears the item and how often
  • Home alarm and storage protections
  • Prior jewelry losses or coverage history

Questions we get asked

Do I enter one total for all of my jewelry?

No. Enter each item separately so its type, value, wearer and appraisal date stay attached to the correct scheduled piece.

Do I need an appraisal before starting?

You can start with the information you have. The form records the purchase or latest appraisal date, and the broker can tell you whether the market needs updated documentation.

Can one policy cover several pieces?

Yes. Each piece is scheduled separately within the same household intake so its value and description remain clear at underwriting and claim time.

Can you write this where my business is?

We are currently licensed in California only. Start a quote if the business or risk is in California, and we will confirm eligibility before you spend time on it.

What actually happens after I start a quote?

You answer a short set of questions, and a licensed broker at Menlo reads them, maps your operation to a class, and shops it with the carriers we are appointed with. There is no instant bind and no black box. You talk to a person before anything is quoted.
