When you run an outdoor event, rain usually means fewer guests and lost sales. This coverage pays a set share of your limit for every hundredth of an inch of rain recorded while your event runs, so even a light shower pays something.
Any measurable rain, starting at 0.01 inch, pays part of your limit.
The payout follows the recorded rain, so there is no adjuster and no long claims process.
Payouts are usually sent within 2 weeks.
You pick a coverage limit and the amount of rain that pays it in full. The examples in the program guide use 0.25, 0.50 and 1 inch.
On a $10,000 limit with a 0.25 inch threshold, each 0.01 inch of rain pays $400. If 0.16 inch falls during your event, you receive $6,400. At 0.25 inch or more you receive the full $10,000.
The payout grows with the rain up to 100% of the limit you chose.
Liability and certificates for the event itself.
No. The payout is based on the rain recorded during your policy period, so there is no adjuster and no long claim to file.
Any measurable rain pays something. With a 0.50 inch threshold, for example, each 0.01 inch pays 2% of the limit, so 0.16 inch on a $10,000 limit pays $3,200.
Payouts are usually sent within 2 weeks.
